In Flames now-former bassist Bryce Paul officially left the band amid their full-packed schedule.

The upcoming European festivals including Hellfest and Graspop Metal Meeting will welcome several bands and musicians on stage including In Flames. However, the band underwent another lineup change before the shows after it parted ways with its bassist.

In Flames Announces Bryce Paul's Replacement

In Flames' official Twitter account confirmed Paul's departure from the group ahead of their performances and shows. They did not reveal the reason behind his exit, but they took their time to send their good luck message to their former bassist as he embarks on his solo journey.

"Jesterheads, Our brother Bryce Paul has decided to step away from the band," In Flames said. "We wish him well on his future endeavors and thank him for everything he put into the band the last several years."

The band also named The Dillinger Escape Plan's Liam Wilson as Paul's replacement, who will serve as the Swedish rockers' touring bassist. The new bassist was part of The Dillinger Escape Plan from 2000 to 2017, but he also played with other bands and musicians like John Frum, Azusa, and Devin Townsend.

In Flames have been going through a number of lineup changes over the past years. For Paul's part, he joined the group in 2017 to replace Peter Iwers and performed in the band's albums, including the "Foregone" album and "I, The Mask."

Before Paul and Iwers, the band had its original bassist, Johan Larsson, who stayed with the group from 1990 until his exit in 1997. The members also worked with Hakan Skroger and Dick Lovgren several times over the years.

In Flames Have a Famous Fan

Amid the lineup changes, In Flames also appeared in headlines recently after Nita Strauss spoke about her love for the band during a recent interview before the release of her new album, "The Call of the Void."

She dropped "Golden Trail" as part of her upcoming second-full length music project, which features In Flames' Anders Fridén. Since Strauss has been a huge fan of the band, she told the interviewer that collaborating with the musician was a dream come true for her.

She recalled growing up having In Flames posters on her walls, and one of which was signed that she put it in her studio. A few years later, Strauss finally lived a fangirl dream of performing with her first favorite band.
