Two weeks into Season 18 of "American's Got Talent," many viewers already predict who will snag the top prize.
Unsurprisingly, the opinion firmly favors Putri Ariani, an astonishingly talented singer.
As AGT enters its third week of auditions, the show has revealed a wealth of talent. Among them is Putri, a 17-year-old Indonesian singer with an inspiring story.
Despite her disability - blindness - she is ambitious to attend Julliard College and realizes her dreams through music.
Putri astounded the judges with her remarkable vocal performance, so much so that Simon Cowell awarded her the Golden Buzzer.
At first, he had not been impressed; however, upon hearing her sing a second time, he bestowed on her this special recognition.
That night, it was evident to everyone who watched why this singer would be victorious.
Putri's journey mirrored that of Kodi Lee, who had also been awarded a Golden Buzzer in Season 14. Ultimately, he triumphed not only in Season 14 but also again in All-Stars 2023.
Kodi, who is visually impaired and has Autism, blew the judges away with his singing. Their followers warmly received AGT's Instagram post of Putri receiving the Golden Buzzer.
In response to the Instagram post "@arianinismaputri is a star and @simoncowell's #GoldenBuzzer!", enthusiastic fans filled up the comment section expressing their conviction that she would win.
One wrote, "She's going to win, no doubt."
A chorus of agreement came from the discussion board. "I super agree with that statement; well-deserved!" one person said.
Another encouraged, "Rooting for you, Putri - I think we all are!"
A third piped up enthusiastically: "She's the female version of Kodi Lee. Definitely going to have success!
Putri Ariani 'America's Got Talent' Audition
It was Putri Ariani's turn to be judged - the 17-year-old had to audition twice for "America's Got Talent."
Seated at the piano, she delivered an emotional rendition of her original song. Impressed by her vocal skill, Simon jumped onto the stage and asked her to play another song - Elton John's "Sorry Seems to Be the Hardest Word." She obliged, bringing a beautiful version of this classic number to life.
Howie Mandel and Simon Cowell were both highly impressed with what they saw on stage, as evidenced by their statements.
Howie said, "A lot of people don't believe in angels, and I think one just landed on our stage. You're a superstar."
