Bassist Rachel Bolan will be temporarily replaced in Skid Row in the band's upcoming European shows.
Skid Row has been gearing up to make it up to its fans on European tours following the unexpected cancelations of its Australian tour dates. The band will be part of KISS' shows which will start on June 12 and end on July 2.
Rachel Bolan To Miss Skid Row's European Stops
In an announcement posted on Skid Row's official Facebook page, the band revealed that Bolan would not perform on some of its European tours. The post did not directly name the temporary replacement, but the band already shared the stage with its guitar tech, Casey Sproatt, at the Sweden Rock Festival on June 10.
"TO THE SKID ROW FAITHFUL! Rachel Bolan will not be performing on some of the shows on the European tour due to an urgent family matter," Skid Row said. "He hopes to join the tour as soon as possible."

The band is set to support KISS on several tour dates in Europe, starting on June 12 at Ziggo Dome in Amsterdam, Netherlands.
It will perform on the next schedules, including at the Palais 12 on June 13, Halle Tony Garnier on June 27, Lucca Festival on June 29, SAP Arena on July 1, and Lanxess Arena on July 2.
Before the announcement, Bolan already shared his thoughts about how KISS' End of the Road tour would not be the band's last tour. He recalled during his appearance at the White Line Fever podcast that they also played at KISS's first farewell tour in 2000, saying that the same thing would happen again.
With Bolan's absence, Sproatt is expected to play bass in the following schedule of the band.
Skid Row Wants To Perform Again
Instead of canceling its appearance, Skid Row opted to tap its guitar tech and prepare for its European shows after the band postponed most of its Australian shows because of Erik Gronwall's ongoing health issue.
The frontman, who marked his first album with Skid Row (The Gang's All Here) after replacing ZP Theart, posted a video on YouTube saying that he missed the show because of his issues with his voice and body.
He revealed that he could not perform properly after Skid Row opened with "Slave To The Grind" after the stop in Sydney because of the flu-like symptoms he experienced.
