Fans will finally get the chance to hear Troye Sivan's third studio album really soon.
It's been five years since "BLOOM" came out and the record had several hit singles like "My! My! My!," "Dance to This" with Ariana Grande, and many more.
Today, the musician finally teased fans about his next album and fans are ready to hear more club-ready bangers from the pop star.
Taking to his official Instagram account, the 28-year-old artist shared a video of an old television flashing some of his old YouTube introduction clips that date back to the mid-2000s. Some of the footage also featured his previous collaborators like Tyler Oakley and Zoella.
By the end of the short video, Sivan shared a few excerpts from his previous song visuals before revealing the official title of his next project, "Rush."
Troye Sivan New Album: What Took Him So Long?
In the caption, the "WILD" hitmaker explained to his fans why it took him so long to release his next project.
He noted that he didn't mean to take five years to create his album because the "Bloom" tour happened. When he started working on his new songs, the COVID-19 pandemic started.
In addition, he also delved back into the world of acting for his new series "The Idol" together with The Weeknd and Lily-Rose Depp.
"Always working on the album in all the moments between. and now here we are. 10 years since i signed my record deal, 5 years since bloom. Enough excuses now. Enough saying 'soon.'"
As of this writing, the musician has yet to reveal the official release date of his brand-new project.
Troye Sivan Talks About New Music Project
This isn't the first time the pop superstar spoke about his new project as he previously had a conversation with ELLE Magazine earlier this year.
He teased fans that his new songs are "full of hope" and he didn't expect it back when he started the project.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, Troye Sivan released an EP titled "IN A DREAM" and at the time, he admitted that he was in his "feelings" after going through "a massive breakup."
"Processing all of that and writing about it and I was like, 'God, am I about to write a whole 12-track album or whatever about this?'"
