Luke Bryan seemed to be taking a notch down from doing professional work as he plans to balance family life and music this year. The country music star might be taking a backseat as he has had a "rough year," planning to take it out on a lush vacation at the Carribean.
Aside from finishing another season of "American Idol," Bryan also headlined the 2023 CMA Festival in Nashville, a pretty packed year for a father of two.
Luke Bryan Taking A Hiatus?
Speaking to Entertainment Tonight about his plans, Luke Bryan admitted that he did "not really" balanced well this year.
"I'm like, 'Baby, this is a rough year, let's just get through it and then we'll find a boat and go to the Caribbean or something," he revealed.
And while Bryan, a self-confessed workaholic, says that as he tries to be "real active" with music and other commitments, he is also "gonna slow down a few things."
So far, he has spent his past few weeks spending more time with his teenager boys. They have gone golfing, fishing, and even spending more time at the baseball field.
Bryan is one of the biggest country music artists today, and he attributes everything from the help of his loyal fans. Describing his big career milestones as "surreal," the singer detailed his emotions on the warm love that his fans have shown him throughout the years.
"I'm glad that I can really calmly process it now. I used to get really excited and almost didn't enjoy it, because I was so amped up."
Luke Bryan New Album
Asked about his plans for a new album, Bryan, despite committing to a "balanced" life this year, says that a new album is on the works. His recent single, "But I Got a Beer in My Hand," is one of the singles of his new album.
As for what he's doing in the studio, Bryan teased his fans:
"We're kinda going, hearing songs, writing songs, and when we get what we like, we go in the studio. I've got some songs that I'm really proud of and I've got some new vocal things that I've done that I think fans have never heard. ... Got some other little tricks up my sleeve."
