Ice Cube Bio
Born under the legal name, 'O Shea Jackson on June 15, 1969, in Los Angeles, Ice Cube has been known for utilizing Gangsta rap, Golden Age rap, West Coast rap, G-Funk, and Hardcore rap music styles. Ice Cube was raised in south central Los Angeles by a set of working class parents. As a little boy and a teen, Ice Cube was involved in the pursuance of interest in b-boy culture. This interest paved the way for the aspiring rapper to had become motivated and keen in writing rhymes while he was in high school.
How Ice Cube Started His Career as a Rapper
Ice Cube began his professional career as a rapper by rapping in parties that the legendary Dr. Dre hosted. As per All Music, not too long afterwards, moving forward, Dr. Dre became responsible in producing the former's initial recordings. Among of the recordings from Ice Cube that Dr. Dre produced were Stereo Crew's "She's a Skag", released under Epic in 1986 and an EP by CIA, in 1987 under the small and independent label called, Kru-Cut.
In the initial moments of his career in the music industry, Ice Cube was a member of music groups, Mount Westmore, Westside Connection, and NWA, prior to embarking on a solo rapping music career on his own.
Ice Cube Hits, Accomplishments, and Accolades
By the time Ice Cube had left NWA as one of its members in 1989, the rapper went on to pursue a solo music career. Ice Cube went to New York with fellow record producer, Sir Jinx, and at that time, recorded his first debut album.
Ice Cube's solo debut album was released in 1990 via Priority records. The album was called "AmeriKKKa's Most Wanted." The album climbed the top 20 of the Billboard 200 albums chart. In a span of four months since the album's release, it became certified gold. Ice Cube's said album, though, was depicted to had been filled with themes of violence, homophobic, and mysogynist.
Other albums from Ice Cube that followed for release were "Death Certificate" (1993) and "Laugh Now, Cry Later" (2006), just to name a few. A few of the awards Ice Cube has under his belt are the BET Hip Hop I Am Hip Hop Icon award and the The BET Honors Award for Excellence in Entertainment.
Details for Ice Cube's European Tour Leg
Ice Cube has recently announced that he's set to go on a series of tour concerts in Ireland and the United Kingdom, with Cypress Hill and The Game as supporting acts. As per NME, the United Kingdom and Ireland Ice Cube headlining series of tour concerts is collectively called, "The High Rollers: Volume 1."
