In a declaration filed in Los Angeles Superior Court to seal a settlement agreement, Priscilla Presley accused her past legal representatives of causing an alarming dispute regarding the estate of Lisa Marie.
The secret deal required Presley to receive $1.4 million to end the family dispute with her granddaughter Riley Keough.
When Priscilla discovered that Lisa Marie Presley had revised her trust and made Riley the lone administrator of a $35 million life insurance policy, she was incensed, launching an all-out battle.
The former wife of Elvis was not about to stand by and accept the changes made to the family trust in 2016. By doing so, it had placed her granddaughter Riley as its controller while divvying up portions of the wealth among her younger twins' stepsisters, Harper and Finley Lockwood.
Infuriated by this injustice, Priscilla reportedly decided to take action and broker an agreement between all parties, according to a report by Radar Online.
Priscilla flushed with emotion and declared the dispute over Lisa Marie's trust had been brought about by the white shoe lawyers she hired in the wake of her daughter's death at 54.
"Contrary to what has been reported in some quarters, my January 2023 petition was not a 'fight' over Lisa Marie's trust fund," stated Priscilla, estimated to be worth $50 million.
Her prompt decision to take the matter of her daughter's trust to court and call for herself to be made co-trustee left many wondering why she had done so. "It wasn't my aim," she clarified without further explaining.

Priscilla expressed her disapproval and noted that "RJS Law, a San Diego-based firm, has since been terminated after filing a petition." She added that she was taking action to address all ambiguities concerning how to interpret and apply for the trust.
In a heartbreaking instant, Priscilla Presley was left to grapple with the devastating loss of her daughter Lisa Marie. Her lament for her late husband Elvis was palpable as she shared what had happened - though no more details were given.
"Elvis would be proud and his and Lisa's wishes are what are most important to all of us," she stated.
To protect the identity of her grandmother, and in consideration for her safety and well-being, a formal motion was raised by Riley which would seal away any information about the $1.4 million awarded as part of a settlement agreement.
Priscilla declared that were such details released to public knowledge, and it may cause "significant distress" and negatively affect her mental and physical state.
