Kelly Clarkson followed some "desperate steps" to recover from her divorce from Brandon Blackstock.

Clarkson and Blackstock's relationship has been under the spotlight three years after they ended their 7-year marriage. Although they already finalized their divorce last year, the singer is still mending her heart and trying to get past their split through different methods.

Kelly Clarkson Tries Hypnosis To Get Over Divorce From Brandon Blackstock

A source recently informed Radar Online that Clarkson has already found ways to help herself on her healing journey, including hypnosis. By doing so, the "American Idol" alum reportedly believes she can be the best version of herself and her kids.

"Kelly's at the point where she'll try anything and a friend recommended hypnosis, so she signed up for six sessions," the insider said. "Kelly knows it's time she got over this breakup, but it's still tearing her heart out."

The same source claimed that Clarkson's experience in marriage and divorce still haunts her, leading her to aim to have a clean slate in her mind.

Clarkson and Blackstock finalized their divorce settlement two years after initially filing it. The result led the singer to pay her ex-husband over $1.3 million and 115,000 in spousal support and $45,601 in child support on a monthly basis until their children, River and Remington, reach the age of 18 and finish high school.

Details about the hypnosis program are not shared with the public, but the source's claims came ahead of the release of singer's latest LP, "Chemistry," which is reportedly about her relationship with Blackstock.

Kelly Clarkson's New Album "Chemistry"

Clarkson's fans have been waiting for the arrival of her new album after dropping her singles, "me," "mine," "i hate love," and "favorite kind of high."

During her recent interview with "We Can Do Hard Things with Glennon Doyle," the 41-year-old crooner shared the things she learned after going through heartbreak and divorce following her marriage with Blackstock.

Per Clarkson, her studio album is a way to not only be honest about the people around her but to be honest with herself, as well.

"By no means do I think I've ever been a liar," she said. "I just think we mold things and shape them to justify them, instead of just being truly honest about what's really happening because you don't want it to be that way."

Clarkson will officially present her newest LP, "Chemistry," on June 23.
