Zayn Malik, perhaps one of the most distinguishable and highly-anticipated male acts in the United States and in the United Kingdom in the past few years, seemed to be hinting at a new era coming soon!
Malik, a former One Direction member, has been quite active on social media in the past few months. Out of all the One Direction members, he was the one who was quite elusive and reclusive in interviews, which makes his recent activity all the more suspicious and interesting.
Zayn Malik New Song 2023
Deuxmoi, an online personality who had been quite the source of online entertainment and Hollywood insiders, posted a screenshot of one of the submissions on their email.
The email, usually modified to hint more at the identity of the blind items, was sent by "pillow@talk.com." For those who do not understand the obvious, it's obviously a nod to Zayn's famous single," Pillowtalk."
The subject was simple and straightforward-"get excited"-true enough, the message got everyone talking.
"Fans of this lowkey boy bander get excited!" the insider wrote. "You know new music is coming, but he is also shooting mid-June in NYC!!"
If that needed more obvious pointing out, the insider seemed to suggest that Zayn Malik is actually releasing new music.
In the past month, Zayn has been constantly teasing his return to music with some newfound social media activity. On June 14, he posted a photo while he was in the recording studio on his Instagram account.
Three days later, he sent fans fawning over a seductive gaze selfie he uploaded on the photo-sharing platform, sending fans crazy about the anticipation for his return.
Zayn Malik Albums Discography
Should the reports be actually true, this would be the first official song since his 2021 album "Nobody is Listening," which did not perform commercially well compared to his previous albums.
The project only debuted at No. 44 on the Billboard 200 albums chart and only spent a week on the genre-blending charts. The album received generally favorable reviews, receiving from two to three stars out of five on average.
His sophomore album, "Icarus Falls," performed pooer on the charts, only reaching No. 61 on the same Billboard chart. It was a huge freefall compared to his debut album, "Mind of Mine," which debuted atop the charts both in the US and in the UK.
