According to the post, the band's longtime drummer passed away after her long battle with lung disease. The same health issue was confirmed by her partner, Chery Curtice, in a Facebook post Monday.

Curtice, however, said that Taylor died peacefully in her sleep while clean and sober.

"She was so brave, even in the face of her horrible disease," she continued. "We were all fortunate to have her beautiful, strong spirit in our lives. She will be forever missed. We will have a memorial service sometime in the future. I love you, beloved Teresa."

Taylor first confirmed her health diagnosis in November 2021, saying that she had an end-stage lung disease and that she only had one to five years of life expectancy. She admitted in the same Facebook post how she expected to be hit with the health condition due to her history of smoking.

The drummer was later admitted to hospice in 2022 amid her lung disease battle.

Apart from lung disease, the drummer also suffered from a brain aneurysm in 1989 that caused her to undergo brain surgery. She survived the emergency medical issue but started experiencing seizures after the procedure.

Taylor's family is yet to confirm the details regarding her funeral and celebration of life. This is a developing story.
