To bring the two sisters back together, Lynne Spears attempts to reconcile Britney and Jamie Lynn.
In doing so, she hopes a new connection between them will be forged and that Britney can return to her regular life with a restored relationship with her younger sister.
The Daily Mail reported that Lynne is encouraging the "Baby One More Time" singer to make up with the former Nickelodeon actress.
A source suggested the two may be headed towards a reconciliation as Lynne reminded Britney that Jamie Lynn misses her too.
"It seems like reconciliations are on both of their minds!"
However, the 41-year-old pop star is reportedly not ready to forgive the "Zoey 101" star just yet.
A source close to the situation reports that the "Womanizer" singer is waiting for an apology from Jamie Lynn before any reconciliation can even be considered.
Despite the time that has passed, Britney allegedly still holds a grudge against her sister Jamie Lynn.
With great dedication, however, 68-year-old Lynne attempts to bridge the divide between her daughters and bring family harmony. She is displaying a tremendous amount of perseverance in her efforts to make things right again for the family.
Lynne reportedly acknowledges that she and Britney are still dealing with their matters first.
The same source said Lynne is conscious that rebuilding their relationship will require time and hard work.
The source confirmed that she is wholly devoted to the task, promising her total commitment and energy to mend her bond with the "Toxic" hitmaker.
Lynne is also said to be eager to foster a healthy relationship between them.
An insider reported that Lynne and Britney's recent gathering could create favorabledays ahead, especially considering all the issues they have confronted together in the past few years.
But the relationship between Britney and Jamie Lynn has always been complex.
This tension was exacerbated when Britney accused Jamie Lynn of utilizing her for monetary gain, noting the approximately 300 references to the former "America's Got Talent" judge in the latter's memoir, "Things I Should Have Said."
However, throughout her struggle to end the conservatorship imposed on her by their father, Jamie Spears, in 2008, Britney lamented that she was not getting enough support from Jamie Lynn.
After 13 long years, it was only in November 2021 that the legal arrangement finally ended.
