Taylor Swift has always been a champion of inclusion regardless of a person's race, sexuality, and even those who have disabilities. However, there was a big confusion that is currently happening regarding seats reserved for those who have disabilities.
According to ABC 7 News, some fans who already bought tickets for the pop star's show at Levi's Stadium for next month were confused as there were some people who purchased ADA tickets despite them not needing them and those who needed it got regular passes.
A fan named Ariana Kallas, who is using a wheelchair, said she and her family would attend concerts at least once a year because she loves music and being in the moment.
"I think live music is so fun because you're in the moment, you're around people who also share that same interest," she told the outlet.
Taylor Swift Fan Struggles With Accessibility Issues
Last year, her father George Kallas secured four tickets for the singer's "The Eras Tour" but there was one major problem.
When he was attempting to exchange the said passes for ADA seats at Levi's Stadium, he received an autogenerated email that stated that seats for non-NFL events were limited and fans who wished to exchange their tickets would be accommodated on a first-come, first-served basis.
The contact support also mentioned in the message that they would reach out to him immediately and it would not take a day before they could grant their request.
However, February came and George received yet another email saying that all tickets were already sold out including ADA seats.
Ariana was sad about the situation because it's a "physical challenge" for her and things like this could go "unnoticed unless you mentioned it.
Taylor Swift Fan's Accessibility Issue Still Unresolved
Levi's Stadium finally issued a statement to the outlet saying that their venue believes everyone should be able to enjoy events "no matter what their accommodation needs may be."
But, they noted that the demand for Swift's concerts was unexpected and ADA tickets were made available during the ticket-selling period.
George later noted that when he was trying to purchase tickets, there was no indication that there are ADA seats.
As of this writing, Ariana Kallas is still unsure regarding her situation but they are in contact with Levi's Stadium and a spokesperson told the outlet that they're exploring potential solutions.
