Ava Max was performing in Los Angeles' Fonda Theater last Tuesday when an unknown man suddenly got onstage and attacked her.
The "Sweet but Psycho" singer was slapped across the face before the man was promptly dragged away by security, and she continued performing as if nothing had ever happened.
After the show, though, Max took to social media to reveal that the attack was a lot more painful than what it looked, "He slapped me so hard that he scratched the inside of my eye. He's never coming to a show again,"
"Thank you to the fans for being spectacular tonight in LA though!!"
Attacks on Ava Max, Bebe Rexha
A fan who was at Max's concert shared what they witnessed: "The guy rushed on stage at the end right when the last song ended. The security guard tackled him and literally threw him down the stairs."
"It happened so fast. You can see here she couldn't even open her eyes but she still did M&G."
The singer has not commented further on her health status, however, she is not the only artist in the past few days who has been attacked by their own "fan."
According to reports, just two days before the "So Am I" singer's attack, Bebe Rexha was hit on the face with a cellphone thrown by a "fan."
Rexha was performing at The Rooftop at Pier 17 when a man, now identified as Nicolas Malvagna, chucked his phone at her, hitting her a few inches away from her eye.
After being hit in the face, the singer fell down to her knees, and covered her eye, clearly in pain. She was shortly rushed to the hospital.
Rexha updated her fans by sharing a picture of herself on Instagram, which she captioned "I'm good."
It showed a picture of her with a black eye with a stitch across her eyebrow. Fellow artists and celebrities flocked to the comments section to give her their love and support.
