Aaliyah comes to Missy Elliot's dreams and said she forgives Ginuwine?
According to Ginuwine, their reported argument arose from a small misunderstanding, and in a dream, the late Aaliyah forgave him.
Ginuwine Clarifies Aaliyah Beef
The R&B singer clarified during his visit to Drink Champs that, contrary to popular belief, there was no actual beef with the late singer.
Their disagreement arose from a miscommunication when he made the decision to depart the management company run by her uncle Barry Hankerson, Blackground Records. Ginuwine described his former label mates as "a family" in a statement.
He said they were all a family - Missy, Timbaland, her [Aaliyah], myself, Magoo, Playa, Tweet - all of them. Apparently, Aaliyah and him weren't on the same page. Since the firm was his manager and Barry Hankerson was the record head, he believes it had more to do with her commitment to him. He just left for whatever reason. She was devoted to her family, of course. That is therefore how it began but between them, there is no real personal disagreement or conflct.
Those events served as a catalyst for things to change but did not mean the two of them hated each other.
The 52-year-old continued by saying that although he wanted to apologize and give a reason for his initial departure, he "never got the chance" and believed that Aaliyah was being told "whatever narrative it was with him."
He shared that Missy Elliott even went to him and told him she once she had a dream, and Aaliyah said, "Don't worry about it" and that she forgives Ginuwine.
As such, Ginuwine was able to find closure thanks to her.

Aaliyah Could Have Been Next Beyonce
Ginuwine thought about Aaliyah's path and where he believed she would have ended up if she were still living.
The "Pony" singer asserts that Aaliyah would have been on par with Beyoncé today as she was moving in that direction already.
Ginuwine kept making waves in the genre with his certified double platinum sophomore album, 100% Ginuwine; hit songs like "So Anxious" and "Same Ol' G"; and collaborations with artists like Aaliyah, Missy Elliott, and Timbaland. Ginuwine has put out nine studio albums so far, and his unique sound and powerful lyrics continue to have an effect on R&B.
In the past few years, Ginuwine has grown as an artist by working with his friends Tyrese and Tank as the group TGT and by making TV and Broadway shows.
