After Debbie Harry, the main vocalist for Blondie, had her voice and outfit criticized during their Glasto performance tonight, many came to her defense. Needless to say, Glastonbury and Blondie fans were divided.

On June 25, the American rock group, which shot to stardom in the 1970s, performed on the Pyramid stage a number of their top singles, including "Atomic," "Rapture," and "The Tide Is High."

However, other people weren't impressed, calling it a "painful" watch and criticizing Harry's, now 77-year-old, singing voice. Despite this, several others defended the celebrity, saying she is the "epitome of cool" and is "rocking" the stage. "

Debbie Harry is totally rocking the pyramid stage at #Glastonbury and is the definition of cool," was the sentiment of her defenders.

"Remember that she is approaching 78 before you criticize her voice," some fans said, in different words, but same essence.

"I still want to be her when I grow up; I always have," one said.

"I can promise that everyone who is criticizing #Blondie will be ranting at clouds and stench like p*ss when they are 77 years old. not at Glastonbury's main stage. #Glastonbury2023," another fan defended.

The band became well-known during the underground new wave movement in New York City in the middle of the 1970s because to singles like "Heart of Glass," "Call Me," and "One Way Or Another." 'Heart of Glass' by the band was famously covered by Miley Cyrus, and it brought in a whole new audience.

The Hunter was the band's sixth studio album when they broke up in 1982, but they reunited in 1997 and released their number-one hit, "Maria," two years later. Lil Nas X and Elton John are still scheduled to perform on the Pyramid stage later tonight, on the festival's final full day, proving that Glastonbury is still going strong. It's safe to say that it's been packed with drama and headline-makers, from Lizzo's legendary performance to Lewis Capaldi's early set conclusion when he'struggled' to finish his song. Lana Del Rey's mike was shut off after she arrived late for her set.

Between Yusuf/Cat Stevens and Lil Nas X on Sunday, Harry, who has fronted Blondie since 1974 with the exception of a 15-year break between 1982 and 1997, performed at Glastonbury for the third time. The band played in 1999 and 2014, and the fashion star recalls her first show outfit with affection.
