Mick Mars offered a hair-raising statement regarding his impending death, predicting what would happen to him years from now.
Mars' hands have been packed over the past months as he deals with Motley Crue while enduring his years-long fight against ankylosing spondylitis. He has since announced his retirement from touring - though his band reportedly cut him off completely - to focus on recuperating amid his health battle.
Mick Mars Predicts When, How He Will Die
The embattled Motley Crue guitarist recently worried fans as he "predicted" his death during his interview with Rolling Stone. He told the magazine about his current relationship with his former bandmates and shared more accusations against them.
However, he also spoke about his "death" and what he wants people to do with his body.
According to Mars, he will die within the next eight years and when it finally happens, he reportedly wants his family to cremate his body and place it in a lead urn.
"I want them to take it into an airplane and drop it into the center of the Bermuda Triangle," he said. "I want people to be able to say, 'Mick Mars is lost in the Bermuda Triangle.'"
He also revealed that started thinking about his mortality when he was diagnosed with ankylosing spondylitis, though he predicted that the disease would not be the cause of his death when he dies before he turns 85 or 90.
Mick Mars' Health Issue: What Is Ankylosing Spondylitis?
Mars has been open about his battle with ankylosing spondylitis over the past years. Per Versus Arthritis, the condition occurs when inflammation affects a person's back by attacking the spine, and it causes one's body to release extra calcium that makes the back and neck feel stiffer than usual.
He also spoke about the health condition in the band's 2001 biography "The Dirt," saying that he was diagnosed with it in his late teens when he noticed that his hips started to hurt whenever he tried turning his body.
Due to financial struggles, the guitarist was not able to consult a specialist and just prayed that the pain would go away. Unfortunately, the disease only worsened over time that it led him to stop playing the guitar for nearly two years, per Metal Sludge.
