Johnny Depp was seen donning a leg brace as he arrived in Berlin on Tuesday in preparation for his Wednesday performance with his band Hollywood Vampires at the Citadel Music Festival.

The 60-year-old actor, who co-stars in the rock band alongside Alice Cooper and Joe Perry of Aerosmith, had to postpone the US segment of their tour due to an injury.

As he strolled through the city, Johnny donned a knitted beanie hat with a graphically printed jacket and black cargo pants. After their performances in Munich and Hamburg, he resumed his European tour with an unknown companion.

After injuring his ankle while promoting his film Jeanne Du Barry at the Cannes Film Festival, a source disclosed to TMZ that the actor 'stressed it further while trying to power through' at a tribute concert for his late friend Jeff Beck. Due to Johnny's injury, the band announced earlier this month that they would be postponing the American segment of their tour.

An insider informed TMZ that the actor's "ankle is fractured, and his medical team has instructed him not to fly for the foreseeable future." This prevented him from performing with Hollywood Vampires in New Hampshire, Massachusetts, or New York.

Depp and his companions Alice Cooper and Joe Perry announced on Instagram shortly after the cancellations that they must reschedule their first three U.S. tour dates.

In 2012, Johnny, Alice, and Joe founded the Hollywood Vampires, initially performing cover songs in memory of 1970s rock legends. Johnny previously toured with Beck and recorded an album with the legendary guitarist, who succumbed to bacterial meningitis at the age of 78.

The duo produced a 13-track album that includes two new Depp originals and an eclectic blend of cover songs by iconic artists such as the Beach Boys, Marvin Gaye, and John Lennon, as well as alternative rockers like Killing Joke and The Velvet Underground.

This month, Johnny Depp and his bandmates held a "intimate" birthday celebration. The Oscar nominee celebrated his 60th birthday on June 9 by having dinner in Istanbul, Turkey, with his Hollywood Vampires bandmates Alice Cooper, Joe Perry, and Tommy Henriksen, a source tells PEOPLE.

"There was no big grand party. No blast off. He celebrated in Istanbul on his birthday. He had a dinner with his bandmates," says the source. "It was an intimate dinner in Istanbul, where they were playing."

According to the insider, Depp is "really prioritizing his health in this phase of his life."

"He's 60. He's on tour. He's directing a movie. He can't do what he was doing at 20 years old," the source says. "He's taking care of himself. Everything in moderation."
