Olivia Rodrigo has been relentlessly teasing her upcoming new single, "Vampire," and fans cannot get enough of it! Coming from her new album, "Guts," Rodrigo holds a lot of pressure from everyone as she tries to follow up on her Grammy-winning album, "Sour."
As she teased new snippet day by day, fans have tried to decode whatever's given to them, and after some thorough analyses, they found out that it is actually another diss track dedicated to her ex-boyfriend, Adam Faze.
Olivia Rodrigo 'Vampire' Lyrics Explained
In a report, The Sun exclusively inferred that Olivia Rodrigo's "Vampire" is actually about her "bloodsucker" ex-boyfriend Adam Faze whom she accuses of dating her just for the fame.
"Hate to give you the satisfaction of asking how you're doing now," she sang. "How's the castle built off people you pretend to care about?"
Rodrigo was known for her sharp words and very descriptive songwriting, a thing that she has been lauded for on "Sour." In "Guts," it seemed like she took the sharpener to the next level.
"Six months of torture that you sold as some forbidden paradise. I loved you truly. Gotta laugh at the stupidity," she continued to sing.
Just from the title of the track alone, fans have already deduced that it's gonna be quite a very revealing one - and alas, they're true.
"You made me look so naive, sunk your teeth into me, bloodsucker, famef***er, bleeding me dry like a goddamn vampire," she described eloquently.
At one point in the song, she even referred to her "ex" about dating younger women: "Went for me and not her cuz girls your age know better. I've made some real bad mistakes but you make the worst one look fine".
As of this writing, the actual song snippet of Olivia Rodrigo's "Vampire" hasn't dropped yet, only The Sun has reported the said lyrics.
