The world sat in complete shock at the sudden news of Madonna being rushed to a hospital's intensive care unit after contracting a "serious bacterial infection."
Many assumed that her upcoming "Celebration Tour" might be canceled, however, it was only postponed; Live Nation confirmed that the "Like A Virgin" singer will still embark on the highly anticipated tour.
However, fellow superstar artist Dolly Parton has come forward to share some advice with Madonna: do not go on tour.
Parton knows a thing or two about touring, after all, she has been in the industry for decades and has been on several tours herself.
The "9 to 5" singer has probably cracked the code to success in the music industry-without the need to go on tour.
Dolly Parton Doesn't Need to Tour
Parton revealed the reason why she refuses to go on tour, despite her numerous album releases throughout the years--it's exhausting.
"It's always been taxing," Paton simply said. "The reason I don't tour now is because I don't want to be that far away from home, we're getting older and I've got a lot of business that I do and the movies that I do."
According to reports, the last time the "Jolene" singer even went on tour was back in 2016 for her "Pure and Simple Tour," which went through over 60 cities in North America.
Aside from growing old, Parton also cited her husband's health as one of the main reasons why she refuses to leave the comfort of her home and hometown.
"So we're close to home and I just really do prepare, just like coming over for this, we had a band and before I had to cancel once-my husband was sick at the time but he's fine now but you do plan and I do not plan to tour at this time."
Madonna's 'Celebration Tour'
According to reports, Madonna's manager Guy Oseary issued a statement detailing an update regarding the singer's health.
The statement notes that she is doing much better, and is expected to recover from the infection; however, there were no updates on when the tour will officially begin.
"At this time we will need to pause all commitments, which includes the tour. We will share more details with you soon as we have them, including a new start date for the tour and for rescheduled shows," an earlier statement read.
Although Oseary did not reveal how Madonna got the infection, a source revealed that she had been working very hard on preparing for the "Celebration Tour."
"She had been putting in 12-hour days. She was strenuously rehearsing and putting in the work."
