It has been twelve years since Dr. Conrad Murray was charged with involuntary manslaughter in connection to the death of iconic pop star, Micheal Jackson.

Now, Murray has opened his medical facility. During Jackson's life and under Murray's care, the music legend died from cardiac arrest in 2009.

After the passing of Michael Jackson, the world was shocked to discover that his physician had decided to return to medical practice, according to Radar Online.

Unsurprisingly, this decision brought an abundance of condemnation and disapproval from many people.

At his involuntary manslaughter trial, much was made of Conrad Murray's ethics about the care he provided Michael Jackson.

With a salary of $150,000 a month for his services as the singer's doctor, it was discovered that Murray had been treating Jackson's insomnia with propofol drip - a hazardous anesthetic regimen that could have fatal consequences

At the launch of his new venture, DCM Medical Institute in El Socorro, San Juan, Murray revealed how his conviction had changed the way he was seen by other medical professionals.

He admitted that they saw him as a "threat".

He said in an interview with Trinidad and Tobago Guardian, "When I came back to Trinidad, most of the colleagues whom I had trained felt that I was too much of a threat to be present when all I was willing to do was to collaborate, further educate and instill care for more and more."

"It was difficult, to be sure," the accused doctor stated. "When they saw my actions, they chose to shut their doors tight - a decision that would last for two long years. But I persevered; I knew that nothing could stand in my way."

Contrary to the opinion of some in the medical field, Joel Osteen, the famous pastor of a Texas-based megachurch, showed his support for Murray's return.

In a video address dedicated to the occasion, Osteen bestowed his blessing on the clinic and extolled it as an embodiment of "the heart of Doctor Murray."

In his video, Osteen expressed his appreciation for the work done to make T&T a place of global recognition for both medical treatment and preventative care.

Not only is it renowned as an excellent center for dealing with heart and vascular diseases, but its kind and knowledgeable staff have given rise to it becoming known simply as "Doctor Murray's".

In this way, it has become a beacon of hope for people from different parts of the world seeking quality care.

To bring joy and hope to the Caribbean, especially in light of recent events like Hurricane Harvey in 2017, a special invitation was extended by one man: from the Caribbean itself.

Murray wanted Joel Osteen to come and visit their facility so that everyone across the islands could celebrate together.

While the local community made an effort to house displaced citizens, Lakewood Church was noticeably absent.

Despite taking up residence in a former basketball arena, Osteen's congregation kept its facilities closed and unused.
