Riley Keough, the daughter of the Lisa Marie Presley, offered a sizeable 7-figure amount to drop her grandmother Priscilla's request to become co-trustee of the estate belonging to her late daughter.
Yet unfortunately, Priscilla declined to accept the demand from Graceland.
Back at the start of May, news broke out that an agreement had been reached between Priscilla and Riley regarding a trust fund of Lisa Marie worth $35 million.
Priscilla had taken her daughter to court over the matter, asserting that Lisa Marie's will appointed her and Barry Siegel as joint trustees for this very same trust.
Upon Lisa Marie's death, it has since become known that she was indebted by up to $4 million to various creditors.
In preparation for the future, Elvis Presley's only daughter had taken out life insurance policies before her untimely demise.
The payout from these policies totaled $35 million and was split neatly between Riley and her two younger twin sisters, Harper and Finley.
At the time of her death, the three primary beneficiaries were Riley and her twin sisters, Harper and Finley.
In terms of the will, court documents revealed Priscilla's battle to become co-trustee despite an amendment signed by Lisa Marie in 2016 that made Riley the only trustee.
Priscilla expressed doubt about the validity of the amendment, arousing Riley's discontent.
To put an end to a potentially acrimonious trial, the pair forged a confidential agreement in which Priscilla was rewarded with $1 million and an additional thousand for her expenses.
As previously reported, Priscilla had requested to be buried alongside Elvis at Graceland during negotiations, according to Radar Online.
Even after his passing decades ago, Priscilla Presley still considers herself to be Elvis' widow, as revealed by a source close to the family in 2019.
The iconic singer was laid to rest at Graceland where he poses with his mother and father by his side, accompanied by Lisa Marie and her late son Benjamin in neighboring gravesites.
Riley made it clear that she would not give in to Priscilla's wishes regarding the burial.
According to one insider, "Riley feels like she is seeing this whole situation through her mother's perspective and what Lisa Marie would have wanted."
They went on to say that since mother and daughter had become estranged before Lisa Marie passed away, Riley did not feel that the former wife should be interred with her.
For close to half a century, Priscilla had been confident that her final resting place would be beside Elvis.
