Ice Spice and Taylor Swift's collab for the latter's alternate version of "Karma" raised a lot of eyebrows; fans had only one thing in mind when it was first announced: is this Swift's way of helping out her then-boyfriend Matty Healy clean up his image?
The "Princess Diana" rapper just came forward to finally clear out the air. In an interview, Ice Spice had nothing but great things to say about the "Anti-Hero" singer.
"She's so sweet-I was so obsessed with how humble she was and willing to work," the rapper said, before adding that Swift has become somewhat like a mentor for the rising rap star. "She gives me so much advice - we talk all the time and she's so funny."
Unlike Swift, Ice Spice is a relatively new face in the music industry, and she is a good decade younger than the Grammy Award winner, but her rise to success and fame is undeniable.
Perhaps Swift has taken it upon herself to guide Ice Spice, as she, too, had once trekked the rough terrain of the music industry.
Ice Spice Reveals Her Secret
Elsewhere in her interview, Ice Spice divulged what was the foundation of her success, and how she manages to keep up with it.
"I always felt like I could do anything I tried to do, but especially now it feels like anything is possible," the "Barbie World" rapper explained. "Being at award shows, being on magazine covers, getting huge features - all those moments made me feel like: 'Wow, we're really doing it big.'"
Aside from the confidence she has in herself and her talent, Ice Spice revealed that it is her undeniable magnetism that draws people in.
"[I'm a] "popular loner. I'm not gonna lie - naturally, I just attract a lot of people,' she added.
Maybe that is exactly what drew Swift in in the first place-not an attempt to clean up her ex-boyfriend's image, like netizens suggest.

Ice Spice, Taylor Swift, Matty Healy: Explained
According to reports, The 1975 frontman and Ice Spice were first linked in headlines due to the former's offensive remarks about the rapper.
During a podcast appearance, Healy called her an "Inuit Spice Girl" and "chubby Chinese lady," as well as mocking both ethnicities.
He later apologized, "I don't want Ice Spice to think I'm a dick. I love you, Ice Spice. I'm so sorry."
A month later, Swift was then linked to Healy. They briefly dated between March and April before calling it quits.
Fans could not help but call it a "coincidence" when it was announced that Ice Spice would be joining Swift in one of her new singles "Karma."
