Since his death, many have honored Takeoff in a variety of ways.
But one tattooist and a handful of companions have expressed their fondness for the late Migos member through an extraordinary way: getting tattoos.
As reported by the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, three notable tattoo locations in Atlanta - Atlanta Ink, Iron Palm Tattoos & Body Piercing, and Pèse Noir - joined forces with renowned artist J.R. Outlaw to commemorate the legacy of late rap star Takeoff.
To do so, they employed a 79-foot piece of silicone skin to create an impressive mural that portrays Takeoff donning a vibrant spacesuit in shades of brown, orange, and green.
Recently, the Guinness World Records awarded Takeoff with the distinction of having the largest tattoo artwork in the world due to its immense size. The mural was a testament to the dedication and hard work put into its creation.
Outlaw told the outlet, "I think Takeoff was just a big influence in the city and the culture of Atlanta, like in general."
"It was the whole group. They made a real lasting impact on the city, so we just wanted to do something to memorialize him, and that's really what it was about."
On June 25, fellow Migos rapper Offset also unveiled some brand new ink to commemorate his group Migos.
Taking to Instagram, the rapper shared a photo of the large piece covering his entire back with the caption reading "Love you 4L & after".
Additionally, Offset devotedly declared that Migos is "the greatest group to ever touch the mic" during a performance at the 2023 BET Awards in honor of Takeoff.
It's safe to say that Offset was in a jubilant mood after his appearance on BET, as he proclaimed on Instagram live. "That BET performance was really special," he said.
"It cleared my soul. Me and my brother Qua, I put that together within 16 hours. Like 15 hours. We land from Paris like at 9 pm and go straight to work to figure out how we gon' put the show together man."
Tragically, in the early hours of Tuesday (November 1), TakeOff - real name Kirshnik Khari Ball and a member of the rap group Migos - was fatally shot at 810 Billiards and Bowling in downtown Houston, aged 28.
According to TMZ, the incident occurred in 2022.
An argument suddenly erupted during a dice game between Takeoff and Quavo, which led to several shots being discharged. Unfortunately, one of the bullets hit Takeoff in or around his head, although contrary to reports Quavo remained unharmed.
