Jamie Foxx appears to be in high spirits in his first sighting since being hospitalized for a "medical complication" in April. Finally - he's been sighted and worried fans do not need to contend with friends saying he's this and that.

Foxx was captured in new photos and video obtained by TMZ traveling along the Chicago River in a large boat on Sunday afternoon. As he waved to admirers, the Ray actor appeared vivacious and content, as reported by the outlet.

The actor was greeted by an adjacent boat that erupted in cheers upon seeing him. The 55-year-old actor, whose hospitalization in Atlanta for an undisclosed medical condition was reported for the first time on April 12, has been recuperating at a physical rehabilitation facility in Chicago.

Corinne, his 29-year-old daughter, announced on May 12 that her father had been "out of the hospital for weeks" and "recovering" to the point where he was well enough to play pickleball, one of his favored sports. Corinne was compelled to provide an update on Jamie Foxx's health after erroneous reports claimed the actor was preparing for the worst.

She said her father has been out of the hospital and recuperating for weeks, lamenting the hysteria of the media.

She also thanked everyone for their prayers and support.

But of course, without any sighting then, fans and the media still felt the urge to keep asking and speculating.

Troughout the ordeal, Foxx has had the support of his friends and family, as well as his fellow actors. ET interviewed Foxx's father, Stop Embarrassing Me!, last month.

Porscha Coleman, at the 2023 BET Awards, shared an optimistic update on Jamie Foxx. She said she had spoken to people who are very close to Jamie Foxx, and he's doing well. She was eferring to the media's coverage of Foxx's condition following the announcement of his hospitalization.

In the same month, an actor's representative told ET that claims made on Dr. Drew Pinsky's online program that Jamie Foxx was hospitalized after suffering serious injuries from a COVID vaccine are "completely false." The representative's statement came over a week after a purported gossip columnist made the unsubstantiated claim during a May 30 appearance on the program, claiming Foxx was left "partially paralyzed" and "blind" as a result of the COVID vaccine.

Additionally, they asserted that Foxx was compelled to receive the vaccine in order to continue working in Hollywood. Foxx was also alleged to have developed a blood embolism that resulted in a stroke. As the person making these allegations, Pinsky did not refute the claims, which, according to NBC News, have been amplified by far-right talking heads to millions of listeners.

Coleman stated that she is not astonished that Foxx is keeping updates to himself, citing his privacy, despite all the rumors.

According to Deadline, he is doing so well that he and Corinne will co-host a game show titled We Are Family that will premiere in 2024.

TMZ asserts that the medical condition was so severe that out-of-town family members rushed to the hospital, though the precise nature of the illness remains unknown.
