Madonna has regained her footing - literally and figuratively. The icon worried so many with her near death experience last week but at this moment, it is said that she's already out and walking!
The "Material Girl" singer, who was reportedly found unconscious in her home 10 days ago, was observed strolling with a friend in her Upper East Side neighborhood amid a whirlwind of speculation about her health.
The 64-year-old pop star reportedly wore large sunglasses, a wide-brimmed hat, and Nike sneakers, and leaned significantly on a lamppost while waiting to cross East 80th Street and Lexington Avenue. Later, podcaster Lauren Conlin posted images of the celebrity walking on TikTok.
Page Six sources report that she appeared cheerful and chatted with a blonde friend as they strolled on a hot Sunday afternoon. She appeared to have no difficulty walking, but was taking her time. According to reports, the ailing "Like a Virgin" superstar donned braided ponytails and red lipstick.
The outlet reported on June 28 that the singer was discovered unresponsive and transported to a hospital in New York City.
Allegedly, she was intubated for at least one night before the tube was removed.
According to sources, she was attentive the following day. The singer has not issued a statement, leaving her legions of fans searching for information about her health somewhat in the dark. Guy Oseary, Madonna's longtime manager, stated on Instagram that the singer had "developed a serious bacterial infection that led to a several-day ICU stay."
He added, "a full recovery is expected."
Her friend Rosie O'Donnell posted on Instagram that her Majesty was "feeling good," and her longtime best friend Debi Mazar reported that she was "on the mend & home resting!" However, the star's Sunday stroll is the first clear indication that she is prepared to return to daily life following her health emergency.
Due to the medical emergency, the Grammy-winning artist has postponed her Celebration tour. Originally, it was scheduled to begin on July 15 in Canada and now it is unclear when it will push through.
Some fans were sorely disappointed, especially those who do not live in Canada in the first place or nowhere near Vancouver.
Some said they have careers and lifestyles in Edmonton and they were going to Vancouver just for their idol.
They would purchase all of the tickets at once and then divide the costs for airfare, car rentals, hotel rooms, and Rogers Arena reservations for beverages before the performance. Friends were traveling from Edmonton, Winnipeg, and Kelowna, and Blacque explained that their airline reservations are non-refundable because they booked the flights in January using the least expensive option. Tickets to the performance itself were also expensive, costing "about half a paycheck," some even said.
