In 2021, Lady Gaga's dogs, French Bulldogs Koji and Gustav, made headlines after they were stolen. At the time, the musician offered a massive amount of money as reward.
When the two pups were finally found, it was revealed that the woman who took care of the dogs for a short amount of time was an accomplice that's why she never received her compensation.
Following this, the woman, who was identified as Jennifer McBride, filed a lawsuit against the mega pop superstar for not handing the $500,000 reward to her.
More recently, the judge finally made a decision about the case way before it reached the court; find out what happened below.
Lady Gaga Lawsuit Gets Thrown Out
According to a news outlet, McBride's lawsuit has finally been thrown out before it even went to trial.
The judge handling the lawsuit stated that allowing the woman to continue the case would "allow her to benefit from her admitted wrongdoing."
As of this writing, Lady Gaga, whose real name is Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta, has yet to address the issue publicly.
Page Six reported that McBride has 20 days to resubmit the case.
Lady Gaga Dogs Get Stolen
Per the outlet, Lady Gaga's two dogs were walking around Los Angeles in February 2021. The two pups were being accompanied by the singer's dog walker named Ryan Fischer.
At the time, Fischer was shot in the chest and was later sent to the hospital to treat his wounds. Fortunately, he was able to survive his condition, but it was no easy task as there was a piece of his lung that got removed.
He previously described the ordeal as "very close call with death."
Three men and two accomplices were later identified with the case, including James Howard Jackson, who pled no contest to a count of attempted murder. He was later sent behind bars.
On the other hand, McBride returned the two dogs to the LAPD Olympic Community, but was later charged in connection to the robbery.
She pled no contest to one count of receiving stolen property.
McBride then hit Lady Gaga a lawsuit after not getting the money the pop star promised. The suspect claimed that the musician made it clear on her social media post that she would pay the reward as long as her dogs are returned safely, "no questions asked."
