"America's Got Talent" season 18 viewers already picked the potential winner a few weeks since the show started.
More "America's Got Talent" fans watched the second episode of the show's season 18 after noticing a blind singer who immediately captured everyone's attention with her singing. The auditionee, Putri Ariani from Indonesia, serenaded the viewers with her original song, "Loneliness," as she played the piano.
Although it was just her audition, Ariani already made the viewers think she would be season 18's grand winner.

After her performance in the second episode of "America's Got Talent" season 18, Simon Cowell asked Ariani if she could sing another song after sharing her original song with the crowd.
She wowed everyone again when she offered her rendition of Elton John's "Sorry Seems to Be the Hardest Word," leading Simon to press the Golden Buzzer and open the door for her to the semifinals.
Aside from the judges and in-person audience, viewers watching from their homes also commended Ariani's voice and immediately hailed her as the season 18's potential grand winner.
"Putri Ariani , 17 years old from Indonesia, received Golden Buzzer from Simon Cowell in America's Got Talent 2023," one said. "Hope she will be the 2nd blind singer who wins AGT following Kodi Lee, the AGT 2019 winner."
"I love her voice she is such an incredible singer she can win this competition. keep it up putri ariani," another wrote, while someone added, "Putri Ariani is going to win AGT 2023. What a voice! Tweeting this into existence on her behalf."
Before "America's Got Talent" aired the episode that featured her, Ariani had already hyped her followers on Instagram about the beginning of her journey to the show's stage.
Who Is Putri Ariani?
The Got Talent franchise already witnessed Ariani's talent long before she stepped on the "America's Got Talent" stage.
In 2014, she won "Indonesia's Got Talent" season 2 and was immediately nominated for Best New Artist at the Indonesian Music Awards. Her win also gave her the biggest break yet, as she had already released her debut album and several singles over the years, including "Kamu Lagi" and "Tak Mampu Lupa."
She has been receiving love from her family, friends, and fans all over the globe, who also hope to see her win the competition. Even President Joko Widodo supported her journey by giving her an undisclosed amount of pocket money which she would use once she returns to the US to join the finals.
