Imagine Dragons have been performing some of their biggest hits and concerts and music festivals for more than a decade now, but there are a few songs that frontman Dan Reynolds didn't want to perform live if it weren't for his fans. Spoiler alert: this will shock you!
Insider spoke with the musician to share some of the songs that he doesn't find amusing to perform in front of thousands of fans.
The outlet listed down "Believer," "Demons," "Thunder," and their ever-famous track "Radioactive," and the singer had to rank the tracks from least to worst.
Reynolds said "Believer" is his favorite out of the four and it came from their 2017 album "Evolve." The next songs were "Demons" and "Thunder" who got the second and third spot respectively.
To fans' surprise, the lead vocalist picked "Radioactive" as his least favorite song; what was his reason?
Dan Reynolds Says 'Radioactive' is His Least Favorite Imagine Dragons Song to Perform
Later in the conversation, the musician revealed that he only performs the song because it's the track that they wanted to hear him and his band play live.
"'Radioactive' is a song that a lot of fans want to hear. And if it weren't for that, I probably would veto that song," he told the outlet.
He later doubled down his remarks by admitting that it's his least favorite track to play.
Reynolds isn't the only artist who doesn't like performing their biggest hits as Liam Gallagher said he couldn't stand "Wonderwall" by Oasis anymore and Ariana Grande removed her song "Bang Bang" from the setlist of her Sweetener World Tour.
Dan Reynolds Explains Why He's Tired to Sing 'Radioactive'
Further explaining why "Radioactive" isn't his cup of tea, the musician said one of the main reasons is the "length of time" as Imagine Dragons already played the track a lot of times.
He also noted that it's a song that is hard to sing vocal-wise because the notes are very high and by the end of the set, he's "tired at that point."
In other updates about Imagine Dragons, the band is currently scheduled to appear in several music festivals around the world. Their next show would be at the TC Summer Fest in Minneapolis, MN, on July 15, 2023.
