Jamie Foxx was hospitalized this spring as a result of an undisclosed health issue, and he is still healing.
Despite making his first public appearance in months over the weekend in Chicago, where he even assisted a woman in finding her misplaced purse, the 55-year-old actor is still "not 100%," according to a new US Weekly article.
The source explained that no doubt, Jamie is doing incredibly well, and he's beginning to feel like himself once more.
However, the insider added that he's not fully recovered and is still taking it easy, but he is unquestionably making progress.
The insider further said that although the Oscar winner is being supported by friends and family, he will return to work once he has fully recovered. Similar claims that Foxx is recovering have surfaced this month, including one from John Boyega, who played Foxx's co-star in "They Cloned Tyrone," and claimed that Foxx was "all good" and will soon make a comeback.
Foxx was admitted to the hospital in April as a result of a "medical complication," according to daughter Corinne Foxx. She wrote in her statement, "Fortunately, due to rapid action and wonderful care, he is already on the road to recovery. "We are grateful for your prayers and are aware of how loved he is.
The family requests discretion at this time. Although the cause of Jamie Foxx's hospitalization has not been made public, boxer Mike Tyson, whom Foxx will portray in a future biopic, said on a May episode of "The PBD Podcast" that the actor might have had a stroke.
"They said stroke," said Tyson. I don't know what happened to him. They don't want us to know if we haven't already learned about it.
Meanwhile, it is reported that Colin Firth and Jamie Foxx will create a music documentary.
Earlier this week, it was revealed that Sony Music Entertainment, Foxx's Foxxhole Productions, and Firth's Raindog Films were working together to create "the first ever feature-length documentary on legendary singer Luther Vandross's life and illustrious career." The documentary, whose making has already started, will "follow the iconic artist as he charted his own course becoming one of the most decorated and influential pop artists of all time" and "capture the intensely private Grammy-winning artist's passion for music, global rise, and personal struggles." It will include Vandross's own private collection.
