Jung Kook, a member of the popular Kpop group BTS, is set to perform in New York City this Friday and fans are already lining up outside the venue days before his scheduled show despite the heat in the Big Apple.
According to the New York Post, the musician is this week's performer for the "Good Morning America" Summer Concert Series at the Rumsey Playfield in Central Park. His performance will be on the morning of July 14, 2023.
Some of his fans started lining up as early as Monday morning and by Thursday afternoon, the streets around the block have already been filled.
Aside from the concert itself, BTS fans are also waiting for Jung Kook to release his brand new single "Seven" which comes out on the same day of his concert.
Some BTS Fans Came From Other States to See Jung Kook in NYC
One of the attendees, Kiila Armwood, spoke with the outlet to reveal that she already rescheduled all of her appointments just to see Jung Kook perform live. The fan is a tattoo artist and revealed that she has over 10 BTS tattoos on her.
"I love their message. It's very personal for me. BTS showed us how to love ourselves and not care too much about the things that might hurt us," Armwood told the outlet.

In addition to the tattoo artist, there were also fans who came from different states such as Massachusetts and Texas.
'Good Morning America' Summer Concert Series Lineup
Jung Kook is not the only artist to perform on "Good Morning America's" summer concert series as the famed morning television program has also invited other artists to perform in the coming weeks.
According to their official website, the next performers would be Fitz and the Tantrums on July 28, followed by Carly Rae Jepsen on August 10, and many more.
