The recent gun violence at hip-hop shows is getting a little hectic and Bobby Shmurda is the latest to be thrown in the mix.
According to TMZ, the young Brooklyn rapper rocked out a show in New Jersey and fans were greeted with gun shots as a drive-by shooter opened fire.
Police say someone driving out of the Club Eden parking lot in Roselle, NJ fired 2 shots. The incident occurred around 2 a.m. Thursday (Aug. 28).
The shots sent concert goers into a frenzy with three different police departments responding to control the crowd.
The entertainment news outlet also reports that about 200 people were packed in the lot and became "unruly and agitated" when officers tried to clear the area.
Shmurda was not on the scene when police arrived and no one was reportedly hit.
This shooting incident follows the recent shooting of former Death Row label head Suge Knight. As previously reported, Knight was shot mutiple times at a West Hollywood nightclub during a pre-VMA party hosted by singer Chris Brown.
Knight was shot five times in the stomach and once in the arm. He has reportedly been released from the hospital since sustaining his injuries.
Shots also rang out backstage during a stop on Wiz Khalifa's Under The Influence tour in Mountain View, CA.
According to NBC Bay Area, the victim died.
Rapper Jeezy was arrested for possession of an assault rifle. TMZ reported the weapon turned up during an investigation into the deadly shooting that occurred backstage.
Jeezy has pleaded not guilty to weapons charges and was released from jail after posting bail.
