Jane Birkin died at 76 years old, as confirmed by French media.

Her caregiver was the one to find her at her home in France, though her cause of death is still yet to be determined, Reuters reported.

The renowned singer and actress. known famously for having her name on a prestigious Hermés handbag, made headlines in 2002 when she was diagnosed with Leukemia.

In recent years, Jane spoke openly about her past of overindulgence with alcohol and how her diagnosis completely changed that aspect of her life.

In 2021, tragedy struck when a stroke befell the beloved singer.

As a result, several concerts were terminated that year.

Even more, misfortune followed last March after she broke her shoulder blade and was forced to cancel additional show dates.

Recognized as one of Britain's most iconic figures from the 1960s, Jane Birkin had come to be appreciated for her beauty, style, and captivating love life.

Most notably, in 1968, Jane and her ex-partner Serge Gainsbourg released the steamy French duet "Je T'aime... Moi Non-Plus."
