Ed Sheeran, Eminem Detroit Concert Performance
Performing in front of a packed audience at the Ford Field in Detroit, Michigan last Saturday, Jul. 15, 2023, Ed Sheeran teased everyone with a short cover first of the 2002 hit "Lose Yourself."
According to Sheeran, he has only rehearsed the song earlier that day, saying "We'll see how it goes" to the crowd. A few lines in, the entire Ford Field erupted into chaos as Eminem started emerging from the stage.
"Can I just say, he was gonna come out and do one song, but I said you can't come out in Detroit and just do one song. Do you want another song?" Sheeran asked, as quoted by NME Magazine.
After performing "Lose Yourself," Eminem and Ed Sheeran also performed "Stand." Sheeran then filled in for Dido's parts in the song.
"Detroit I missed you," Eminem told the stadium, launching the entire crowd in an uproar and cheer.

Ed Sheeran, Eminem Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Performance
The Detroit performance wasn't the first time that unusual duo linked up. At the Induction Ceremony of Eminem into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, Sheeran performed with him, performing "Stan," the same second song they performed in Detroit.

"I remember getting the call to do it. I was shooting... 14 music videos back to back... and it was like on my day off from shooting the music videos, and I was like, 'I can't say no. I can't'," Sheeran recalled getting the call for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Performance with Eminem.
