Halle Bailey's film debut on "The Little Mermaid," got her boyfriend, DDG thinking about their relationship. With his very noticeable and undeniable chemistry with Prince Eric actor John Hauer-King, many fans seemed to believe that they look better together as a couple than her and rapper DDG.
Well, the rumors that DDG was jealous of Halle and King's relationship, were actually true, as many have taken a deep dive into his recently-released song, "Famous."
Did DDG and Halle Bailey Broke Up?
Officially, DDG and Halle Bailey have not broken up, despite rumors that they did. Eagle-eyed fans have spotted that the two have stopped following each other on Instagram anymore.
Fans also noticed that DDG walked into the premiere separately with Bailey, although this might be a production issue, this seemed to be more than just an ordinary debacle as they were never seen together at the Blue Carpet at the time.
DDG seemed to have also deleted a tweet saying he would watch the animated version of the movie instead of the live-action one where his girlfriend stars. (via Your Tango)

DDG, Halle Bailey Breakup: 'Famous' Lyrics Explained
Very recently, DDG released a new song titled "Famous." No one needs critical thinking to digest and understand DDG's "Famous" lyrics.
"Filmin' a movie now you kissing dudes / You know I love you a lot / I don't give a f--- if that s--- for promo / I don't wanna see this s--- no more," he rapped. From that verse along, one would already realize that DDG was insecure on the on-screen relationship that Halle Bailey and John Hauer-King had.
"Fall in love, I hate that s--- / Knockin' me off my grind, I can't f--- with relationships / I ain't even got enough time in a day for me to chase a bitch / I don't even ask for much, I ask you to do the basic s--- / Hardest thing I did was fall in love with a famous bitch," he furthered into the song.
Fans were upset and furious over the diss track that DDG dropped against Halle.
"DDG shading Halle in that song is really grinding my gears, because what is wrong with him?!" a user asked.
"That DDG song does not sit right with me. Chile be happy you pulled that girl and keep it pushing" another wrote.
"I know...DDG didn't just admit to sabotaging Halle career in a SONG. Cause he insecure," someone said.
