After racing off the stage in the middle his performance in Hartford, Connecticut on Saturday night, Jason Aldean resolved to rest on Sunday.
The 46-year-old, award-winning country singer-songwriter gave a video explanation of what took place on Sunday via Instagram Stories.
He said many people have inquired about him after learning about what transpired at the Connecticut concert yesterday.
The hitmaker appeared in good health while sporting a gray T-shirt and a Florida-themed billed cap.
The Dirt Road Anthem performer then said that he's doing fine," adding that it was merely hot, but he played golf all day yesterday, and so when he got to the show, he fell ill because of the combination of dehydration and heat exhaustion.
The musician was initially said to be from heat stroke, but Jason insisted that he didn't believe it to be that serious.
According to the CDC, signs of heat stroke include a speeding heart, nausea, perspiration, confusion, and unconsciousness.
The Amarillo Sky performer did acknowledge that "last night's show was pretty intense." Everyone who attended the event last night is aware of how hot it was. The area's temperature climbed to 88 degrees, and the humidity level was reported at 51%.
The Academy of Country Music Award winner admitted he could feel the symptoms coming on but he tried to get through as much of the performance as he could before realizing that it was unlikely to happen and that he should just leave the stage to investigate what was wrong.
Jason reported that he had gotten fluids through an IV both on Sunday and last night. The Highway Desperado tour was launched by the She's Country singer on Friday in Bethel, New York. Obviously, that's not how I had envisioned the show concluding. By no means what I had hoped for on our first week of the tour, the Hicktown singer said to his followers.
The rescheduled Hartford performance was announced on the Xfinity Theater's social media pages. In the video, Jason said goodbye and reaffirmed that he had posted a link to the message on social media. I'm sorry for cutting the show short once more, but we'll return and make it up to you. Jason announced to his followers that he would be playing the Sunday concert in Saratoga Springs, New York after getting plenty of rest.
