Fans found it odd that Britney Spears would use a 20-year-old picture for the cover art of her new collab song with Will.i.am, "Mind Your Business."
As per Pop Crave, the cover art of the pair's collab shows Will.i.am and Spears standing against each other's backs, wearing all-black with hints of pink.
However, it is not the overall cover that intrigued the fans, but the choice to have Spears' picture from 2003 edited on it, instead of using her current physique.
"It feels odd for sure," a fan wrote about the 2003 picture being edited on.
"That's 20 years ago," someone else pointed out.
"D**n [Britney], I love you, but issa no."
"I don't think she cares to promote much. She has her own reasons why."
"And 'Black Mirror' wins again."
Some comments alleged that the rest of the "Oops I Did It Again" singer's body was probably made with artificial intelligence.
Other fans, on the other hand, seemed to be unphased by it: "I think She's still gorgeous she's just getting older and went through a lot during her C-Ship but of course they went with what's marketable."
Britney Spears Makes New Music
The last time Spears has released new music was also a collaborative effort. It was "Hold Me Closer" with Elton John and it combined two songs from the "Farewell Yellow Brick Road" singer's discography: "Tiny Dancer" and "Don't Go Breaking My Heart."
In fact, it was revealed that Spears had a hands-on approach to her collaboration with John.
"She came up with her own ideas. She wanted to speed up the record a little bit, and we did that," said Andrew Watt, the song's producer.
"She knew exactly what she wanted to do. She had spent tons of time with the record; she knew all the lyrics; it was like, her thing."
Fans are definitely excited to finally hear more of the "Womanizer" singer's vocals after all these years.
It seems like she is in no way hurrying up to release any new albums on her end, and perhaps working on collaborations is the safest choice right now.

Britney Spears, Will.i.am
Spears and Will.i.am are no strangers; they have collaborated before, back in 2013 for the song "Scream & Shout."
The pair dropped several trailers for the new project aptly called "Mind Your Business," where Spears can be heard saying "Mind your business, b***h."
