From the moment Taylor Swift announced that she would be embarking on her sixth concert tour called "The Eras" tour, there has been clamor like no other.
It has, after all, been five years since she last went on tour, and to make the stakes higher for her devout fans, Swift's "The Eras" tour will have a setlist that will go through her entire discography.
The insane demand to see the "Anti-Hero" singer even caused Ticketmaster to crash and for thousands of fans to resort to buying over-priced tickets worth thousands of dollars.
Taylor Swift Improves US Economy
Given "The Eras" tour's unprecedented demand, it is probably why there is no surprise that Swift's tour has boosted the country's tourism.
According to reports, the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia has even noted the singer's tour improved the state's local economy.
"Despite the slowing recovery in tourism in the region overall, one contact highlighted that May was the strongest month for hotel revenue in Philadelphia since the onset of the pandemic, in large part due to an influx of guests for the Taylor Swift concerts in the city," the reserve wrote.
This uptick in local economies can also be seen in Chicago. Last month, Choose Chicago announced that Swift's three-day concert, as well as the ASCO Annual Meeting, the Jeames Beard Awards, and other events are to be credited for the fully booked rooms in every hotel in the city.
According to Market Insider the "Lavender Haze" singer's tour could generate $4.6 billion in total consumer spending, that equates to the GDP of more than 35 countries.
Taylor Swift to Receive Nobel Peace Prize?
When the news of Swift's contribution to the boost of local economies in the country hit online news sources, as well as the singer's fans, they were understandably proud and even demanded that the singer receive a Nobel Peace Prize.
"Taylor helping the US economy is crazy, they need to give her a Nobel Peace Prize!" a fan wrote.
"Taylor Swift saving countries economies one tour at a time. But seriously, I hope she is getting some rest. These tours can be very tiresome."
"Exactly like that's Miss Americana."
There has also been a poll asking "Who's more valuable to our economy: Taylor Swift or President Joe Biden?" The poll raked in more than two thousand votes; Swift earned 95% of the votes, while Biden garnered 5%.
Swift receiving a Nobel Peace Prize might just be pipedream-for now, but it seems like in the future, she will not only be improving the economy of the US, but other countries as well, especially since she is gearing up for international tour dates.
