Ice-T is fed up with the "weirdos" on social media who believe conspiracy theories about Jamie Foxx's recovery from a serious illness.

Sunday, the 65-year-old rapper-turned-actor defended the 55-year-old Oscar winner via Twitter. Jamie recorded a video late last week in which he spoke directly to the camera about his recovery and expressed his eagerness to resume his normal activities.

But almost immediately, conspiracy theorists began posting about the clip on social media, with many alleging absurdly that he had been replaced by a double or 'cloned,' ostensibly because he appeared different and the shape of his face appeared odd to some. Ice-T (real name: Tracy Lauren Marrow) stated in his own post that the comments were absurd.

"People would rather believe that Jamie is now a Clone or Ai, than the man was just seriously sick and damn near died... Cause he doesn't look EXACTLY the same???" he tweeted.

"YOU look different after a bad cold! Smh weirdos.." he added in a dismissive manner.

One person pointed out that Jamie's visage likely appeared differently due to the focal length of his cell phone camera, which was likely significantly different from the focal length of the long lenses used for red carpet photos, to which many fans compared the video.

They included a GIF of a man's face captured with lenses of varying focal lengths to demonstrate how much the focal length of the lens alone can alter a person's facial shape. Another person remarked that fans typically see Jamie in movies, where he wears elaborate costumes and makeup to appear his best. Even on the red carpet, he will likely appear significantly different than in a casual behind-the-scenes video.

Another Twitter user stated that Foxx's appearance was not out of character for someone who had a 'near-death' experience and was hospitalized for a 'extended period of time.' Nonetheless, conspiracy theorists and dissenters continued to populate Ice-T's mentions with their backwards viewpoints.

One skeptic suggested that Jamie should "come out and say it himself, rather than engaging in all of these mind games."

Jamie Foxx has spoken up though - although he still refused to say exactly what happened to him. He stated that an unspecified medical emergency that brought his health into the public eye earlier this year put him through "hell and back" before he was able to return to work.
