Gayle has had a pretty great year: she was nominated for a Grammt Award, opened for Taylor Swift' "The Eras" tour, had a collab with Mark Ronson, and was featured on the "Barbie" soundtrack.
What more could this rising star possibly ask for?
"I really want freedom in my life," Gayle told People Magazine. "I think that's the thing I'm always working toward the most. I just want to be able to kind of do whatever I want."
While her ultimate goal seems a bit too far away right now, the "abcdefu" singer laid out her plans in regard to her music career, and where she sees herself in a few years' time.
Gayle With Mark Ronson for "Barbie"
Gayle rose to prominence after the release of her breakout song "abcdefu." It essentially put her on the map and landed her several highly coveted jobs like opening for Pink and Swift.
She also got to work with Mark Ronson for her song "Butterflies" which was included in the official soundtrack of the highly anticipated "Barbie" movie.
"I really always wanted to collaborate with Mark Ronson, so to be able to do that on the Barbie movie is like, f**king ridiculous," the 19-year-old singer gushed.
She then explained how it was like working on the song, "He kind of requested a pop punk, bedroom pop type of song.
"I tried my best because I'm not particularly always making pop punk music, but I try my best to be inspired by that genre."
While some may argue that Gayle is one of the biggest young stars in the music industry right now, she thinks that her current accolades and experiences with some of the industry's giants are just preparations for what is to come.
Gayle's Ultimate Goal
In her interview with People Magazine, Gayle admitted that working with these industry giants is prestigious and a dream-come-true already, she has some other artists she has in mind that she wants to work with.
She revealed that a collab song with Travis Barker, Machine Gun Kelly, and Avril Lavigne-all together-is her ultimate goal. "That's dreaming big, big big," she added.
Her more realistic dreams, though, include working with Jack Antonoff, Clairo, Beabadoobee, and Swift.
