The early 2000s club scene was incomplete without a playlist featuring Timbaland's numerous hit songs-especially his collabs with Justin Timberlake and Nelly Furtado.

Many desperately wished that the trio would one day reunite and release new music, after all, they were the mainstays during those days.

It seems like after over a decade, Timbaland is finally ready to come out of his hiatus and finally work on music with his old pals, Timberlake and Furtado again.

According to reports, the famed producer took to social media to share a screenshot of a Facetime call he and Timberlake had with Furtado. He captioned it, "Da dream team," with eyes and rockets emojis, and tagged the singers.

In another post, Timbaland shared a snippet of Fortado's vocals playing in the studio, he captioned it "Oooooooo boyyyyyyy. We back!!!!!!!!"

Timbaland Assisted Tracks For Justin Timberlake, Nelly Furtado

The last time Timbaland, Timberlake, and Furtado all worked together was back in 2007 for their hit song "Give It To Me."

Meanwhile, Timbaland has several collabs with each artist individually, most notably Furtado's 2006 album "Loose."

Timbaland was credited as the main producer of the album, which featured some of the 2000s hot girl anthems like "Maneater," "Say It Right," and Promiscuous."

On the other hand, Timberlake has enjoyed several chart-topping hits with the assistance of the producer like "Sexyback" "Suit & Tie," "4 Minutes," "Amnesia," "Ayo Technology," "Ocean Blue Floor," "Bounce" with Dr. Dre and Missy Elliott, and more.

Justin Timberlake's New Album

According to reports, Timberlake is back in the studio because he is gearing up for his highly anticipated sixth studio album.

Fans were wondering where the singer went and when he would be making a comeback, the answer is soon.

It also seems like Timberlake will be bringing back the same pop sound that everyone expects from him and his longtime collaborator.

"It's fun Justin," the singer described his upcoming album. "[...] just giving you what you'd expect from us: not overthought, the lyrics are not so deep, it's bob-your-head, dance-to-it music."

"[...] So you have to know how to be authentic and true to the art and understand it, and that's what this album is. We took our time. We had songs that maybe were too complicated, but we said 'We want it to feel like 'FutureSex' part two,' so we picked songs that will fit that."
