Just days after their breakup was announced, there were rumors circulating online that Rosalia and Rauw Alejandro split up because the rapper was cheating on her.
The "Hentai" singer took to social media to break her silence regarding the rumors but did not confirm nor deny it, "I love, respect and admire Rauw very much.
"Not paying attention to the movies, we know what we have been through. This moment is not easy so thanks to everyone for understanding and respecting."
Perhaps this is Rosalia's response to Alejandro's statement, which was issued just a day prior: "During all these years you have been part of my professional achievements, as well as of all the happy moments I have lived as a couple.
"I never saw myself in the position of even thinking that I would have to give public statements about this very private matter for me."
Rauw Alejandro Denies Cheating
Alejandro denied that he cheated on Rosalia and denounced the rumors, noting that their breakup had nothing to do with a third party.
"Yes, a few months ago Rosi and I ended our relationship. There are thousands of problems that can cause a break-up, but in our case it was not because of third parties or an infidelity.
"During this period that I am taking to assimilate all this, erroneous public allegations have emerged.
"Out of the respect I have for her, for our families and for everything we experienced, I could not remain silent and continue to see how they try to destroy the most real story of love that God has allowed me to live."
Rosalia, Rauw Alejandro Broken Up By Valeria Duque?
According to reports, someone identified Valeria Duque, a model and content creator, as the Puerto Rican star's mistress.
However, the social media star also released a statement denying that she had anything to do with the former couple or their breakup.
"I have been absent since yesterday because I believe that silence is also an answer and the wisest one in the face of unfair and false offenses and accusations," she wrote.
"Today, I decide to write in case I can generate some awareness because we still have a lot to evolve as a society," Duque continued, then explained how false information and misinformation can break one's reputation and ruin their career.
"There are so many important things happening in the world, so much we can build, learn, and help others through this medium, and yet, I see how easy it is to destroy and attack by spreading misleading and malicious information."
She ended her statement by thanking her fans for standing by her during this time, and for knowing and being a witness to her true character.
