Is Ariana Grande's husband, Dalton Gomez, not ready to see her move on yet?
Grande and Gomez both moved on from their marriages after the news about their split emerged. Reports claimed that the real estate broker had already started dating before the singer's blooming romance with Ethan Slayer emerged, but a new update revealed that Gomez is not ready to let his wife go.
Ariana Grande's Husband Dalton Gomez Still Pursues Singer
Amid Grande and Slayer's relationship buzz, a source recently claimed that Gomez wants to resolve things with the "7 Rings" singer after previously failing to save their marriage. The estranged husband still hooks her despite her budding romance with her "Wicked" co-star.
"Although Dalton knows Ariana has moved on with Ethan, he still hasn't given up hope that they can make things work," the source said, per Ok! Magazine. "On one hand, Dalton wants to give Ariana her space, but on the other, he's been trying to remain in contact with her."
The unnamed source said Gomez is still "coming to terms" after they broke up, though his friends began to set him up with other people. Amid these, he is said to be feeling hopeful that he and Grande would get back together and continue what they had before.
The revelation came after Page Six previously reported that the estranged couple had failed reconciliation a few months before calling it quits in January. At that time, the husband reportedly flew to London to see the "Problem" singer, where she was filming the upcoming film adaptation.
Following the final attempt, they decided to move on separately since their desire to save their marriage did not work out. Still, they decided to stay friends following a mutual decision throughout the process as they prepare for a divorce.
Why Dalton Gomez, Ariana Grande Broke Up
Grande and Gomez have not directly addressed the real reason behind their split. However, senior therapist and relationship expert Sally Baker from "Working On The Body" told The Mirror that the "Bang Bang" singer's popularity became overwhelming for Gomez.
She explained how "societal expectations and traditional gender roles can challenge these scenarios" affected the couple's relationship, especially since Grande looks more powerful than her estranged husband.
Baker mentioned that the "Thank U, Next" crooner's experience was similar to what happened to Taylor Swift and Joe Alwyn, who called it quits after years of dating.
