Sinead O'Connor's final days were filled with worries after the singer revealed a concerning update about her before her death.

The Irish singer, 56, died at her London home Wednesday after moving into the flat to start working on new songs. But as she prepared to return to the music industry, she was also bombarded with harassment that threatened her security days before her passing.

The Mirror cited O'Connor's tweets regarding an alleged stalker who was harassing her, making the singer send a warning to her fans.

The stalking incident reportedly started two weeks before her demise, and she asked everyone not to connect with fake social media accounts pretending to be her.

"There is one stalker. Female," she said. "Violent: again, NEVER engage with anyone claiming they know me without asking my management."

After three days, she posted a similar tweet regarding a man who was reportedly impersonating her to victimize unsuspecting fans through the platform's messaging feature. She called the man a "sexual predator" who was extremely disturbing.

O'Connor's pal told The Sun how distressed the singer felt because of the female stalker, and it made her very uncomfortable especially since she just started her new life in London. According to the unnamed friend, she received gifts from the same person.

Apart from feeling uneasy due to the stalkers, O'Connor also endured heartbreak in the days leading to her death as she mourned her son, Shane, who died by suicide in 2022.

The since-deleted tweets referred to the "Nothing Compares 2 U" singer's struggles which she started facing after losing her child. One of the posts made a reference to the time Shane died.

"Been living as undead night creature since," she said. "He was the love of my life, the lamp of my soul. We were one soul in two halves. He was the only person who ever loved me unconditionally. I am lost in the bardo without him."

O'Connor also spoke about the toll Shane's death caused while showing her apartment in a video, though she seemingly felt better a few days later since she confirmed the upcoming arrival of new music and her desire to tour again in 2024 or 2025.
