Someone close to Camila Cabello clarifies that she is not dating Rauw Alejandro after the breakup of his engagement to Rosala. Ergo, she's not the reason why the two called it quits!
The 26-year-old "Don't Go Yet" singer and the 26-year-old Puerto Rican star were rumored to be dating on Friday, according to a report. However, the dating allegations are "absolutely not true," an insider told People. They occurred to be at two events at the same time.
They scarcely spent any time together at either event, according to the source. Tuesday's Inter Miami soccer game, where the two were spotted alongside Sean 'Diddy' Combs and DJ Khaled, and last week's Premios Juventud awards were in question.
The relationship rumors followed Rauw's breakup with Spanish vocalist Rosala, 30, and Camila's recent breakup with on/off boyfriend Shawn Mendes, 24. Four months after the proposal and after a three-year relationship, Rauw and Rosalia called off their engagement.
The couple who declared their engagement in March have mutually decided to end their relationship, with sources telling People that they still have "love and respect for one another."
Wednesday, Rauw issued a statement refuting that he had cheated on the singer during their three-year relationship. This is in response to fan rumors that he strayed on Rosala with Instagram model Valeria Duque, who has since made her account private.
Rauw revealed to his 18.1 million followers that he and Rosala called off their engagement "a few months ago" and insisted that it was not due to infidelity.
Following their split, Rosalia also took to her Instagram stories and gave her own statement, not alleging anything about a third party. In fact, she ssaid she loves, respects and admires her now former-ex fiancé. She also added that it is quite complicated going through a separation and then thanked her followers for being "understanding and respecting."
Rosala and Rauw published their joint EP, RR, in March 2023. During the Saturno tour, Rauw performed three tracks from the EP accompanied by a video montage of the couple's best memories together. Rosala attended Rauw Alejandro's sold-out Puerto Rico concert earlier this year and even joined him onstage. She also invited Alejandro to the stage during her April 15 Coachella performance.
