Taylor Swift's fans are convinced the singer just dropped another major hint that her "1989" re-recording is coming up next.
Swifties are enjoying the consecutive re-recordings from the singer since she started dropping them to own their masters. Swift shared the most recent reimagined album, "Speak Now (Taylor's Version)," on July 7, a decade after her then-record label, Big Machine Record, originally released it.
But what's next after "Speak Now (Taylor's Version)?" Here's why fans think "1989 (Taylor's Version)" is arriving next.
Will Taylor Swift's "1989 (Taylor's Version)" Arrive Soon?
Upon the release of "Speak Now (Taylor's Version)" this month, Swifties found more Easter Eggs that hinted at the arrival of "the 1989" re-recorded album. Most recently, they spotted a new hint that the aforesaid record would be the next in her releases.
The "Lover" hitmaker updated her social media accounts, including Instagram, and updated her photos from the "Speak Now" photo to the "Midnights" era. Fans said it could be a sign she would release a new re-recording this year, and they reportedly received definite proof when one fan uploaded a photo of the singer singing her hit song, "Enchanted," on stage.
The Saturday post featured Swift performing in front of a backdrop with black patterns. They noticed that these shapes were actually numbers and had the same style that 1989 had on the album's cover.
Among the comments read:
"IT'S REAL THIS IS TAYLORS INSTA."
"YEP YEP YEP 1989 TAYLOR'S VERSION IS OBVIOUSLY NEXT."
"Something about 1989 TV on 8/9, I swear it."
The latter fan referred to a potential announcement Swift might make during her The Eras Tour's final US show in August.
While this should be taken with a grain of salt, Swifties previously compiled more clues that "1989 (Taylor's Version)" would be the next re-recording album after Swift released her "I Can See You" visual.
Clues That "1989" Re-recording Is Coming
During Swift's Eras Tour in Kansas City, Missouri, she unveiled the official music video of her "I Can See You" track. Her official YouTube channel soon shared the same clip, leading fans to compile the hints at the reimagined album.
Among the Easter Eggs includes the beginning of the visual that looks similar to the "1989" album cover and "Style" music video. They also spotted a "1989 TV" sign and the date "Sep. 1" on the same clip and noticed how it shares the same sequences from her previous "Bad Blood" MV.
