Cardi B has been slammed following the weekend incident when she threw a microphone at a concertgoer - but for a different reason.
"Cardi B" and "lip sync" joined the trending list as her performance caught internet users' attention. Although people started talking about how throwing her microphone at her audience was self-defense, others also took notice of her lip-syncing blunder.
Was Cardi B Only Lip-Syncing During Recent Performance?
Cardi B met her fans at the Drai's Beachclub in Las Vegas Saturday, but she ultimately became the latest celebrity to suffer in the "object-throwing" spree.
A now-viral video showed the "La Modelo" rapper dominating the stage while donning her orange dress. But during her "Bodak Yellow" number, the 30-year-old rapper suddenly stopped when a concertgoer tossed a drink at her.
After the incident, she immediately threw her microphone at the attendee before her security escorted the concertgoer out of the venue. She continued the performance after the incident, but many criticized her as the event reportedly "exposed" her lip-syncing her whole performance.

Fans took to Twitter and called out the "WAP" singer for doing such an incomplete performance, telling the rapper that the attendees' money was not worth it.
"Cardi B throws her mic at someone in the crowd, and her vocals are still going over the P.A," one said. "It's like magic!
"Imagine paying to see Cardi B perform, and then imagine paying to see her lipsync as a performance," another wrote. "The only thing that isn't weak about this is the speed and accuracy of that mic toss."
Cardi B Compared To Milli Vanilli After Alleged Lip Syncing Incident
Aside from slamming Cardi B, she was also compared to the infamous musical duo Milli Vanilli, who was also caught lip-syncing during a live performance in Bristol, Connecticut, in 1989.
The old clip, which became viral after the recent incident, revealed that the duo was lip-syncing. What was worse is that it was soon disclosed that they were not the ones singing their songs in the first place.
Months later, Rob Pilatus - the one-half of the group - told Los Angeles Times (via Associated Press) that he knew it was the beginning of the end for Milli Vanilli.
Cardi B is yet to address the lip-syncing allegations. As for her mic-throwing incident, the New York District Attorney's Office said the attendee was arrested and charged with several crimes, including two counts of third-degree assault, third-degree attempted assault, second-degree aggravated harassment, and second-degree harassment.
The criminal complaint revealed that the attendee did it "to see if I could hit her with the phone at the end of the show because it would be funny," as cited by People.
