Johnny Depp arrived in Boston on Friday with the aid of a cane in advance of his originally postponed concert due to an ankle injury.
Despite using a mobility device, the 60-year-old "Pirates of the Caribbean" actor was all joy prior to his Friday night concert with his band, the Hollywood Vampires.
Depp donned a black-and-white plaid oversize blazer with a button-down shirt and a white T-shirt underneath. He completed the ensemble with black pants and a white bandana adorned with white skulls.
The actor accessorized his ensemble with layered necklaces, a blue hat, and spectacles.
As previously reported by Page Six, Depp's band was compelled to postpone three US tour dates on May 29 due to the "Blow" actor's injury. The band, which also includes Alice Cooper, Joe Perry, and Tommy Henriksen, wrote on their social media platforms at the time, "We regret to inform you that the Hollywood Vampires will be rescheduling our three US tour dates this coming week."
It was explained that Johnny sustained an excruciating ankle injury during his recent performances, and his doctor has advised him not to travel.
Also, the singer actor is said to be devastated by this turn of events, but he is looking forward to recuperating so that all four Vampires can perform at their absolute best on the European tour.
Originally, the performances were scheduled for May 30, May 31, and June 1 in Manchester, New Hampshire, Boston, and Bethel, New York, respectively. Despite this, the show must go on. A year after prevailing in a high-profile defamation lawsuit against ex-wife Amber Heard, Depp resumed his tour schedule after a three-day break.
On June 8, he was photographed in Bucharest, Romania, while donning a boot on his leg. A week after the "Rum Diary" actor's injury, a fan asked the band's tour photographer, Kyler Clark, how Johnny Depp was doing. Clark replied by writing, "He's recovering! It will require time to completely recover. "He is wearing boots that allow him to walk."
As of Saturday, only the Manchester and Bethel shows remain on Depp's schedule before the "Edward Scissorhands" star can get off the ground.
Despite his injury, Depp took the time to make a young fan's day by meeting with them before his most recent concert, behaving like a true rock hero. While the 60-year-old actor made a triumphant return to acting in the Cannes Film Festival production Jeanne Du Barry, he has recently demonstrated a strong commitment to music.
Among Johnny Depp's upcoming endeavors is a reunion with fellow Hollywood Vampires members Alice Cooper and Joe Perry. People reports that before this supergroup took the stage at the Boch Center's Wang Theatre on Friday, Depp greeted his adoring admirers at the venue's backstage entrance. One of them was 12-year-old New Hampshire native Molly Smith, who spoke about receiving an embrace and a selfie from the Sweeney Todd actor and this positively made him the happiest.
The boy shared, "He smiled at me and all I could get out was 'hi'.' My mom got me into his movies and into his music. I can't believe I just met him."
