Singer-actress Suzanne Somers updated her fans regarding her recently returned health issue.

Somers has been away from the spotlight for a long time, causing people to check on her through the "Where Is Suzanne Somers" tag on different social media platforms. After a long wait, her husband broke his silence and revealed where the star is now.

Suzanne Somers' Health Issue

Somers' husband, Alan Hamel opened up about the singer-actress's health struggles over the past years, including the different types of the dreaded disease that challenged her.

The 76-year-old "Step by Step" star was diagnosed with two hyperplasia in her 20s, skin cancer in her 30s, and breast cancer in her 50s. Now, Somers is reportedly facing the illness again.

"She has now dealt with her cancer once again," Hamel told Page Six. "On June 6, she got an all-clear, but cancer is tricky and we will now closely monitor everything going forward."

He revealed that if Somers did not start her chemical-free and organic life, she would have lost her battle already.

For what it is worth, she embraced a healthier lifestyle after getting diagnosed with breast cancer in 2000. According to Parade, Somers also focused on her wellness by getting more sleep, removing foods and beauty products with chemicals, and having an all-organic diet.

In a 2021 interview with Park, she said she started enjoying life when she embraced health and realized "aging can be so incredible" if people know how to approach it.

Suzanne Somers Personally Shares Battle

Aside from her husband, Somers herself gave an update on her health in an exclusive statement to Entertainment Tonight.

She expressed her gratitude as she continues to receive love and support from Hamel and their children, saying that her health battle made them get closer each day.

"It's a recurrence of my breast cancer," she revealed. "Like any cancer patient, when you get that's dreaded, 'It's back,' you get a pit in your stomach. Then I put on my battle gear and go to war. This is a familiar battleground for me and I'm very tough."

Aside from her cancer diagnosis, Somers is said to be still healing from the injury she sustained in 2020 when she fell down the stairs at home. She underwent a procedure after the fall and the concussion led to a bad case of hydrocephalus that started affecting her balance.
