At 25 years old, "Euphoria" actor-singer Angus Cloud passed away due to a "possible overdose." He passed away on Jul. 31, 2023, after he was pronounced dead on the scene by the Oakland Police and Fire Department.
Cloud's death was mourned by many on social media, as he was one of the breakout stars of HBO's hit series "Euphoria". While many of the cast have already shown their condolences to the late actor, like Javon Walton, Alexa Demie, and Eric Dane, many have been waiting for Zendaya and Sydney Sweeney's reaction.
Very recently, the two finally addressed Angus Cloud's death on their respective Instagram pages.
Zendaya Talks About Angus Cloud's Death
In a heartfelt message on Instagram, Emmy-winning actress Zendaya called Angus Cloud a "brother" as she posted a black and white photo of him, beaming with a smile.
"Words are not enough to describe the infinite beauty that is Angus (Conor)," she wrote. "I'm so grateful I got the chance to know him in this life, to call him a brother, to see his warm kind eyes and bright smile, or hear his infectious cackle of a laugh (I'm smiling now just thinking of it)."
In her message, Zendaya attested as to how Angus Cloud "light up any room they entered," saying he was best at it, no matter how cliche the expression might sound.
She also went on to mention that she'd like to remember her that way, as she would also cherish every moment, all of the boundless light and the joy he gave the team back then.
"My heart is with his mother and family at this time and please be kind and patient as grief looks different for everyone," she ended the post.
Sydney Sweeney Reacts To Angus Cloud's Death
As opposed to Zendaya, Sydney Sweeney posted a carousel of photos of her and Angus Cloud together.
Calling him an "open soul with the kindest heart," Sweeney echoed Zendaya's statements by saying that Cloud "filled every room with laughter. She also confessed that this is by far the "hardest thing" she ever had to post as she was struggling to find all the words to say.
"You will be missed more than you know, but I'm so blessed to have known you in this lifetime, and I'm sure everyone who has ever met you feels the same. This heartache is real and I wish we could've had one more hug and 711 run. All my love is with you," she wrote.
Meanwhile, Maude Apatow, Cloud's on-screen girlfriend on "Euphoria" has yet to react to the saddening news. As for the third season of "Euphoria," the production was announced to be pushed back to 2025 following the delays caused by the SAG-AFTRA and WGA Strike.
