Angus Cloud's cause of death remains unclear days after his passing, but his past struggles with drugs resurfaced amid "possible overdose" claims.
Reports confirmed that Cloud's mother dialed 911 on Monday, July 31, on potential overdose after finding him unresponsive and having "no pulse." Oakland, California, police responded to the scene but later pronounced him dead.
Angus Cloud Previously Suffered a Drug Overdose
Amid the probe into his death, a report cited a since-deleted tweet by Cloud's ex-talent manager in which the "Euphoria" star was accused of being addicted to prescription drugs.
Diomi Cordero posted the tweet in question in which he opened up about his working relationship with the star prior to his death. He also made a revelation about Cloud's overdose and how he vomited in his face while he was trying to revive him through CPR.
In the online post, Cordero shared that he and Cloud met in a rehab clinic where he worked as a mental health technician. While pursuing his dream to become an independent talent manager, he bumped into the actor-singer, a patient in the facility.
They grew closer after the meeting and started working professionally in April 2011.
According to the ex-manager, he noticed Cloud's drug addiction relapsed in the same year when he visited him at his home. Cordero claimed that the situation worsened over the next few months, that his then-artist ultimately got into drugs once again.
One day, he reportedly received a call from the "North Hollywood" star's roommate about Cloud struggling to breathe, causing him to rush to the actor's home and revive him using Narcan and CPR.
"Regrettably, as he regained consciousness, Angus vomited onto my face," he wrote, adding that their working relationship ended after that incident.
The use of Narcan recently became a viral topic after a report alleged that the same drug brought Madonna back to life when she suffered from septic shock. Forbes soon released a report citing several media outlets and sources to explain the role of Narcan as an adjunctive use.
Angus Cloud Struggled With Mental Health Over the Years
Cloud's family released a statement to E! News following his demise and detailed the star's years long struggles with mental health issues. Things reportedly got worse after his best friend and father died on May 18 following a brief cancer battle.
"Angus was open about his battle with mental health," the family said. "...and we hope that his passing can be a reminder to others that they are not alone and should not fight this on their own in silence."
